Getting email passwords from another instance of Windows ?

Many people ask me whether it's possible to extract the email passwords from an external instance of Windows that cannot boot.
For now, Mail PassView can only retrieve the passwords from external drive for Mozilla Thunderbird, Netscape, and Eudora. It's possible that external drive support for more email applications will be added in the future. In order to do that, you must go to 'Select Folders/Files' window (F6) and manually select the right folders in the external drive.

Notice: If the filename contains one or more space characters, you mustenclose it with quotes (').

Translating Mail PassView to other languages

Mail PassView allows you to easily translate all dialog-boxes, menus, and stringsto other language.
In order to do that, follow the instructions below:
  1. Run Mail PassView with /savelangfile parameter:
    mailpv.exe /savelangfile
A file named mailpv_lng.ini will be created in the folder of Mail PassView utility.
  2. Open the created language file in Notepad or in any other text editor.
  3. Translate all menus, dialog-boxes, and string entries to the desired language.
  4. After you finish the translation, Run Mail PassView, and all translated strings will be loaded from the language file.
If you want to run Mail PassView without the translation, simply rename the language file, or move it to another folder.

If email is not being sent correctly, please review the 'Email Settings' (available from the software's Options or Preferences dialog). Most problems result from incorrect email settings, most often because the ISP SMTP server has not been entered, or is missing a port number after the server address.

Click here to see Sending via MAPI

Sending via an SMTP Server

This is the process where the email is sent using an SMTP server. The SMTP server is usually provided by your ISP. Its role is to relay emails for you.

The most common reasons for SMTP to fail are:

  • The SMTP mail host server is not configured correctly in Email Settings. Confirm your SMTP server name with your ISP (e.g., mail.yourispco.net) and enter it into Email Settings. If your SMTP server needs a different port (other than the default port 25), append the port number after the server name: (e.g., 'mail.myisp.com:1234). Some common SMTP hosts are:
    • Gmail: smtp.gmail.com
    • Yahoo: smtp.mail.yahoo.com or smtp.mail.yahoo.co.uk (if email address ends in yahoo.co.uk)
    • Hotmail/MSN/Outlook.com smtp.live.com
    • AOL: smtp.aol.com
    • Comcast: smtp.comcast.net
    • Other: Contact your mail provider for your SMTP server address
  • The SMTP server requires authentication. Enable authentication by checking the Server requires authentication checkbox and enter the username and password. Usually, the username and password will be the same as your internet account.
  • The SMTP server requires a secure connection. Enable this by checking the Use secure connection (SSL/TLS) checkbox (if available).
  • The SMTP server is offline. Check with your ISP for possible outages to your email services.

Sending Directly

When this option is selected, the software sends the email directly to the remote person's email address. No outgoing server relays the email. Fluid 2 1 download free.

Possible problems with this option include:

  • If your ISP or firewall blocks outgoing port 25 traffic it will not work.
  • If the remote server is down, email is not queued.
Note: An SMTP server option (above) is preferred. The problem with the direct method is that if the remote email server is down the email will fail. SMTP servers normally queue or spool mail for 12 hours.

Sending via MAPI

The MAPI option is only available with some Windows based programs.

When the MAPI option is selected, email is sent using your default email program. The emails will be available in the history of the client (i.e., in the Sent box)

You must have MAPI-compliant email software installed. Mozilla Thunderbird and Outlook(*) are MAPI compliant. If you do not have MAPI software installed, simply download and install Thunderbird (free) from www.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/. You'll have to set up your email software as the default MAPI server. In Outlook use Tools / Options / Make Default. How to change web browser on mac. In Mozilla Thunderbird go to Tools, Options and tick 'Use Thunderbird as the default mail application' in the General tab. Ms excel.

Sketchbook pro 2020 download free. Outlook Problems: Some versions of Outlook cause problems because the automated send feature is disabled, or it prompts you every time it needs to send a message (which defeats the purpose of automated email!). The easiest solution to this problem is to simply download the free version of Thunderbird from Mozilla.org. You will still be able to use Outlook as your main email application but you can set up Thunderbird simply for sending automated mail. You will need to allow the sending of email by another application. The first time an email is sent you will be prompted if this is to be allowed. You should check the checkbox to allow this always.

Note: If you are using Gmail as your administrative account to send company emails, you will need to check 'Use secure connection (SSL/TLS) if available.' This is a secure use of your email client. Because this is an outside application, you will need to turn on 'Less secure app access' in your Gmail account settings. https://myaccount.google.com/security.
